On March 12th 1945 these pictures were taken on a reconnaisance flight. I used them to make this composite picture of Stroe. The part of Stroe where the church used to be, Bureway, was still further to the east. Remarkable is that Stroe is not really a village in the traditional sense of the word. It's more like a long winding ribbon of houses and farms.
